VFX Breakdown

We had ample freedom and opportunities to make artistic choices for the VFX, especially the ship destruction shots. We challenged ourselves to effectively mimic the fracturing of wood material and the dynamic characteristics of wood and dust in water using Houdini. also, animated parts of the simulation to gain full control and refinement. Finally, we imported everything into UE5 for the final tweaks and integration.

Rig Breakdown

We built an auto ribbon spline IK tool to speed up the rigging process.
