Experiment CG film - Human 3.0

Human 3.0 is a personal CG short film exploring the boundary between man and machine, and questioning the form of life and the essense of human beings. Central to the narrative is the birth of a life form from a mechanical gynoid, leading to critical questions: If we endow AI with the ability to create, how should we interpret its creation when it brings forth life? Is she human? Does she have souls? If only creations borne of craftsmen and artists are deemed meaningful and ensouled, does that reduce AI-generated life to mere soulless products of industrial-scale production?

Title Sequence - CoMotion 2024

CoMotion is an annual student-led motion graphics conference at the Savannah College of Art and Design. At CoMotion 2024,  I served as a 3D animator on this talented team, responsible for the final scenes featuring the poppy flower.

Product Design - Luna Guard

Luna Guard is a conceptual jewelry design with the function of a pepper spray. This product is designed with user safety in mind, ensuring the safety is always within reach, eliminating the risk of misplacement or neglect.

Creature Design - Gilenosa

The concept of Gilenosa comes from a revered East Asian mythical creature, the Qilin, which is the eldest of the nine sons of the Chinese dragon. This project is my first 3D artwork and symbolizes my transition from a linguistics major to design. Qilin is also the name my parents gave me, so this majestic creature holds significant personal meaning. The creature is modeled in ZBrush, textured with Substance Painter, and rendered in Maya with V-Ray.

Collection of Design

Thank you for scrolling this far. I am now excited to present a collection of design projects I have created over the past few months. In the artist selection menu, you will find a deconstructive visualization of a pocket watch, a visualization of a poem written by my favorite poet Borges, a commercial storyboard for a product called Mio Energy, and a title sequence for a horror escape game named Cube Escape.

Changing my career path to step into the realm of design in 2022 was the best decision I have ever made. Every day, I discover a deep passion for design that continues to grow. 

I believe this portfolio reflects my journey of development, both creatively and personally. The challenges and successes along the way have shaped me into who I am today.
