Skipper is a ski patrol ranger working the quiet night shift with her coworker, Holly. With no ice monsters, no people in need of saving, and no action at 3 AM, Skipper gets restless and decides to pursue the excitement on her own.

Ice Day Nice Day contains characters that have been in development since the freshman year of SVA. These characters work the ski patrol unit at a ski resort, protecting civilians from snow monsters, and deploying search and rescue squads for anyone who may have fallen off the path or have gotten trapped somewhere. This story follows Skipper, who is a new hire on the ranger team and is eager to get the ball rolling. This universe is partially inspired by my time volunteering at the fire department, and partially by my time skiing with my friends in Canada. I wanted to build a universe and a team of characters focusing on two things that aren't as commonly highlighted in the Western animation world: first responders and extreme sports. It felt fitting to finish my time at SVA with a character I designed when I first started my journey at art school. Please enjoy!
