Welcome

Here are some of my projects that I have created over the past nine months as an archviz student at Yrgo.  I have no earlier experience of working with 3D programs and visualisation, but I have really come to enjoy it. If you want to see more of my projects check out my portfolio: www.rasmusvisuals.com, @rasmus.visuals

Kings Cross

A collaboration project with Millarhare, where we got to work with one of their old projects. Kings Cross, an area in the center of London.  We had three weeks to arrange their files, learn the area, find camera angles, texture everything, model what's missing and create two versions of a hero image and a vignette.

I chose to make an overview of the gasholder area as I really like the combination of the old constructions and the new residential houses. To create an image from this angle, I had to model the ground, greenery boxes, benches and lamppost from scratch.

Software: 3ds Max, Corona, Forest Pack and Photoshop

Time: 3 weeks

The Reading Chair

The Chair project focused on modeling an existing chair, and I decided to recreate Finn Juhl's 'The Reading Chair'. It was a fun experience, allowing me to explore Unwrap techniques. UVW unrapping was a necessary part for me to make the wood look as realistic as possible.

The mission was to make a advertisment picture and some studio pictures of the chair. Here are my results and the drawings I used.

Software: 3ds Max, corona, Photoshop and After Effects

Time: 2 weeks

The Villa

My first exterior project. The task was to create a villa from scratch in 3ds max based on the drawings from Alingsåshuspaket. It also involved making a suitable surrounding with help of Forest Pack.

Software: 3ds Max, Vray, Railclone, Forest Pack and Photoshop

Time: 3 weeks

Matte Painting

This project was about creating a matte painting featuring a building generated with an AI tool. My given parameters were mountains and a museum. I used Midjourney to generate the building, then I put everything together using Photoshop with a little touch of AI.

Software: Photoshop and Midjourney

Time: 1 week

The Hotel

This project was our first group assignment, our mission was to create a hotel from a given location. We were given volcanoes national park in Rwanda. My responsibility was to make the dining area as you can see down here. It was a fun experience to brainstorm together and maintain the same theme in the pictures.

Software: 3ds Max, Corona and Photoshop

Time: 3 weeks
