I have worked on personal projects in the past few months and I am eager to share them with you! 

I'm presenting three projects featuring character, prop and environment design: Arctic Flight, Beyond the Gates of Trihita and Tajun.

Arctic Flight

The project centres around Arctic tribes who, through their ingenuity in domesticating colossal Arctic owls, have successfully transitioned from nomadic to settled life. They now reside in villages carved into the top of Arctic mountains.

Among them is Akiaaq, an Arctic warrior born and raised amidst the biting cold, and his colossal owl companion, Nuknuq. Together, they protect their community and cherished caribou herds from relentless predators.

Villagers - Character Design

Beyond Akiaaq, unique characters inhabit this icy expanse. From fearless hunters to wise elders, their stories unfold within the vast Arctic wilderness.

Arctic Village - Environment Design

The village is strategically positioned to ensure both protection and access to the caribou herding grounds.

In this habitat, the caribou herds wander freely, thriving in their ideal environment. Guarded by the Arctic Warriors, these herds are shielded from imminent dangers.

Sleigh Merchant - Prop Design

Each village has its specialized sleigh merchants who offer unique goods. Guided by their flying companions, visitors journey between villages seeking specialized products unattainable in their own community.

 This exchange enables an interconnected Arctic marketplace, fostering resource sharing among tribes.

Beyond the Gates of Trihita

Trihita is a revered seminary dedicated to harmonizing its pupils with the sacred forces of nature, allowing them to invoke the power of gods through rituals.

The path of specialized students at Trihita is spiritually and mentally demanding. Deepening their connection involves sacrifices and offerings. Derived from these rituals, specialists can conjure sacred forces, using their knowledge to aid society in times of need.

Beyond the Gates of Trihita is a Personal Project inspired by Balinese culture and architecture.

Rune - Character Design

Rune specializes in invoking the forces of nature to manifest sentinels—purpose-driven beings that return to their original form once their duty is accomplished. Mastering this specialization is one of the most difficult challenges at Trihita.

Rune's Last Trial

Rune’s final challenge on her path to ultimate mastery is the Ritual of Life and Death. Success in the ritual allows for the connection needed to invoke the forces of nature to manifest sentinels.

During the Ritual, the life force is drained leaving a lifeless body. Success in reviving this body depends on the student’s ability to connect with the deity and breathe life back into it. Failure may result in a student never awakening.

Tajun

I developed this project under the directives provided by New3dge for the art test. The deadline for the art test is two weeks. Within this timeframe, a character, environment, and prop must be designed according to the provided directives.

Monk Tajun - Character Design

 In his nomadic journey, the blind pilgrim conveys profound wisdom about the flow of energy, guiding others to connect with the unseen forces. Through the resonating tones of his tingsha, he unveils the invisible threads of energy, transcending his blindness and revealing a unique sight that eludes ordinary eyes. 

His sacred vow of silence becomes a channel to receive the symphony of surrounding sounds, granting him the ability to perceive the world through the dance of energies.

Monastery - Environment Design

The Bell - Prop Design

This honoured bell awakens only when the energies of the land are unbalanced. Its earnest chime, achieved by heating the bell over 100 degrees, releases waves of resonant sound, countering the intruding darkness with the right kind of harmonious vibrations.
