Zoe Meehan
by zoemeehancreative on 29 May 2024 for Rookie Awards 2024

Here's a miscellaneous collection of artwork I have created this year. I am a 2nd year student at CDW Studios/Flinders University studying Entertainment Design. I hope to become a Storyboard artist because I love stories and Characters : )

Round of applause for our sponsors

Dragon in a Teacup Animatic.

This is my first time trying out storyboarding. I'm very proud of it and think it showcases my strengths in art, although I didn't get to finish it : (

Illustration I created for my Friend <3
Inspired by traditional Japanese woodblock prints, I wanted it to feel serene and calm.

In this illustration I aimed to capture themes of death, creating a feeling of crushing hopelessness and stillness. Fun times.

This was homework for the CDA short course Figure Invention for Animation taught by Kevin Chen.

We were tasked to choose a character from an animated TV show or film, study how to draw them, including they're body language, and then draw that character in various poses, expressions and scenes.  I learned a lot about character posing and acting in this class. It was great. Would love to do it again.

Character is Jesper from the film Klaus (2019)

Here are some assets I created for our group project. Together, we're developing a video game concept about a boy in a coma, trapped in an imaginary world within his mind. To wake up, he must confront his greatest fears.

Preliminary Character Design by Vera Cultura. I completed the character design for our hero and created these final assets for our video game concept.

Many Ways I Sit on my Chair Zine

This was created for Sticky Institutes Festival of The Photocopier, an annual zine fair located in Melbourne, Australia.
