Year 2043- And then daylight came...

Here I am with the second entry for the TRA24, with my first Unreal Engine project posted on February just on social medias, after the Skyupacademy UE module. I just added some daylight renderings and a simple intro and video editing made with Davinci Resolve to give some cinematic effect to the entry.

Old reference render -----> New daylight reference render

New video edit for the TRA 2024(video editing part made in Davinci Resolve) with the old video with night lighting (posted in March) and new daylighting renders.

And now just some fun/interesting facts about this project

It took almost an entire week to put all the debris and decals based on the amount of them that were in the reference

I didn't model a single assets except for this one, modeled in Maya and then i just put a simple iron/rust texture on it in triplanar. Every asset that you see in the scene was downloaded from Sketchfab and CGTrader.

I noticed this funny detail after rendering everything and posting it on social medias, i was going to just modify the diffuse texture with Photoshop and some photo manipulation but I totally forgot to do it.

And least but no last, this is how I improvised the wideness and emptiness feels that should give a post-apocalyptic scene, downloading skyscrapers model and putting them far from my "main" scene and moving cameras in a way that who's watching would think that there's something (like other buildings) between the main scene and those sckyscrapers.
