"Goblinfish" and "Demonology" Concept Art - Lewis King

Project 1; Goblinfish Concept Sculpt

This was my project for a creature sculpting module, with the overall plan being to make a deep sea whale-fall feeder on an alien planet. The main visual inspirations were the hagfish and goblin shark, with the arm-like fins being there to allow the goblinfish to glide along the sea floor, as well as to pry into carcasses if needed.

Project 2; Demonology Concepts

This project was my fyp, the idea being to make 7 demon enemy concepts, with each assigned to a different deadly sin. Dark Souls was a big inspiration, the creatures sitting on black backgrounds and (for some) almost fading into the darkness being something I took from some studies I did of Dark Souls concept art. The animals and colours most commonly associated were included in the concepts, as well as all of them lacking eyes to add some cohesion; it allows them to seem like they are all from the same world. This was a big task to take on, and would most likely have worked a lot better had I only chose 5 or so demons to make concepts for; the action poses show how I stretched myself thin by the end of the project.
