爱 AM STUCK

A long-distance couple faces an unusual predicament: whenever they miss each other, their arms and legs become sticky adhering to anything they touch like glue. This bizarre situation causes daily life uncomfortable and challenging, yet they preserved. However, their sticky situation worsens as the antagonist, Zhen Ying the relentless reporter, brought unwanted attention to their plight. They become unwilling celebrities, and it affects both their personal lives and their relationship. Eventually, they both realize their true desire and need in their life is one another leading them to a deeper understanding of their love and relationship.

THE MAGIER

In a fantasy medieval world where magic thrives, a noble-born magician is unjustly cast out and having his one and only family member, his granddaughter, executed by the royal family after being falsely accused of treason. Stripped of his title and honor, he embarks on the treacherous journey of redemption and vengeance as well as in hope of finding forbidden magic to revive his dead granddaughter. As he delves into the forgotten realms and ancient magic, dark secrets were uncovered as well as formed an alliance with a mythical creature.

CHARTA

A personal project where I wanted to create the visual development and the concept design catered for a children animation series. Shapes and features were exaggerated so that it will be easier for children to comprehend and differentiate the characters and their personality.

Synopsis:

In the whimsical world of casino city, the misadventure of Spade the butler and his sassy guard friend Heart unfold amidst the chaos caused by the mischievous, prank-loving Joker. Each episode features Spade and Heart in bizarre situations filled with exaggerated slapstick, surreal and absurd humor. As they navigate their escapades and heartwarming moments, they learn valuable life lessons all while forming bonds with a diverse cast of royal family members, colleagues and friends and bringing laughter to viewers through vibrant animation.

Ideas such as slot machine as the town shops and royal house of cards for the royal family as well as what kind of trees that exist were part of my idea of what the world would look like .

Style Exploration:

SERENDIPITY

The story centers around the main character, Mai, an air-headed dancer that dreams of stardom and Tri Ky, a mischievous feline magical creature. One fateful evening, Mai being as clumsy as she always has lost her way and unknowingly ventured into Tri Ky’s enchanted territory. Initially amused by the reactions he got by playing tricks on Mai, but when an evil force threatens both their world, they soon realized they must cooperate with each other.

ETERNAL WHISPER OF LIGHT

This is a personal illustration of my interpretation of art in my life.

The Sun, aglow radiant and vibrant, joyfully paints the Northern lights across the darkened sky while the Moon on quiet admiration, observe, as the colours dance and swirl, mirroring how artistry and creativity brings light and colour. Just like the Sun illuminated the darkness, art enriches our life’s canvas painting it with endless shades of inspiration and joy.

FIRST DAY OF FOREIGN BEGINNING

In a metropolis, stood a tall and grand university, an emblem of timeless knowledge amidst evolving technology. Tile branching out from the grand entrance to different department buildings bordered by grass. There stood,  the main character, Jingming, paused at the entrance gateway, in awe by the harmonious blend of nature and innovation.

THE FORGOTTEN OWL SANCTRUM

The forgotten owl sanctum now stands as a silent witness to the passage of time. Its secret lost into the depths of the mountain.

MATRIPAHGY

In 1940, in a remote, war-torn town in France, the ravages of conflict and famine cast a dark shadow over the land, two nuns, Isabeau the older nun and Amelie the younger nun, find themselves trapped within a church crypt, completely deprived of food. Despite their hunger and exhaustion, their faith remains unshaken. Kneeling before the altar, they prayed fervently, hoping for salvation under the serene gaze of the statue of Mother Mary. In that sacred moment, they find strength in their unwavering faith, believing that salvation is near.
