These are some of the work I did during my free time after I graduated from art school.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello! This are some art compilation of my own personal artwork I did during my spare time. The first two artwork are made in Maya and the third one is fully made in Blender.

SEAFOOD DIORAMA

So for this project, I made it in Maya and textured it by hand using Krita. I used the concept art I found in artstation from the wonderful Soyun Lee 이소연

Here are some closeup shot I rendered out :D

One of the most difficult challenges I faces during the modeling stage of this model is the crab model itself. I had a hard time visualizing how the crab should look like in a 3D space. I had to find quite a number of references from sketchfab to finally achieve this type of stylized crab.

These are just some of the textures I did using Krita. I'm kinda proud of how the prawn texture look like.

Momo's apartment from STRAY

The next artwork I did was a fanart of Momo's apartment from the game Stray. The reason why I chose to do this environment is because I like the lighting and stray is also one of a very unique game. It resonates deeply with me (partly because I am a cat lover :D) because of its message of fighting for what is worth.

The character of strays are also mostly robots but they also portray human-like feeling and behavior. The visual of each scene in the game is also a breath of fresh air. Hence, my choice of choosing this scene from the game.

Here is the side by side comparison of the my artwork (left side) and the actual scene (right side)

Above is my progress view of blocking stage to lighting to texturing and finally compiling all the AOVs

Starry night scene

The final artwork is a starry anime scene I made using blender. It was my first time using blender so it was challenging and fun at the same time. I had a lot of fun learning how to use particle systems, shader node editor  and animating in Blender to achieve the anime like scenes. The reason why I decided to use blender is because I am very attracted to anime and stylized hand drawn scenes like studio Ghibli work. To be able to recreate something almost similar to the style I like is an accomplishment indeed :D

In this artwork I also animated Zelda's rig that is made by Christoph Schoch (@artstoff) and modified to fit to blender by Soranin (@soraninArt)

Above is the progress of modeling to texturing of this scene

These are the basic shaders and the wireframe of this whole scene

Making the sky was really challenging but after some guide and tutorials from youtube. (Thank you Kristof Dedene) I managed to create this wonderful starry night sky.

I also added some fireflies using the geometry node editor in blender.

Last but not least I put the video together along with some small animations and sound effects.

Thank you for reading and viewing!
