Character Design Final Project

Character designs i did for my final year illustration project in college. This was a lot of fun to work on, changing designs, rendering materials and designing layouts. I definitely struggled the early phase of trying to paint all of them at once and having to re-design some aspects of the costumes but overall it came out better than I anticipated

Yura Splash Art

Final Illustration splash art I did for my character Yura. This went much smoother than I thought. I had a lot of fun setting up the mood and color composition. There initially were more background renders but had to cut them off due to a loss of character focus. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the results and hope I can work more on my weaknesses in the future.

Vera Knightwood Character Design

Description: Vera Knightwood is a high elf knight, set in a medieval fantasy world. As a high elf, she exudes an aura of elegance and power, combined with the disciplined and formidable presence of a seasoned knight.

Background:

Origin: Born into a noble high elf family, Vera was trained in the ways of combat and magic from a young age

Role: Serves as a guardian of the elven realms, protecting her people from threats both within and outside their borders

Achievements: Known for her heroic deeds in battle and her wisdom in times of peace

Concept Inspiration:

Vera Knightwood is inspired by a blend of traditional medieval knight aesthetics and the mystical, ethereal qualities of high elves. Her design reflects a balance between grace and strength, wisdom and courage.
