Character Turn-Around

For this practice I wanted to do a simple Character Turn-Around animation as a starter! With that in mind I asked one of my friends for help with getting a video reference. So I have him to be the actor for this animation's reference!

The animation turned out well and I even did some secondary animations with the hair and eyes.

Parkour Animation

The next practice is Parkour! I wanted to challenge myself a bit more by making a more dynamic and fast-paced animation so I went for a running parkour scene. Once the animation was done I added a few lights into the scene and rendered it!

For the reference video I struggled a bit in finding a good video to use as reference, but thankfully my lecturer suggested me this parkour clip from the internet.

For the ending part of the parkour scene, to me it looked a bit too bland so I decided to add a twist of my own! I added a heroic landing and played with the camera's FOV to make it more cinematic.

Character Dialogue

After the "Parkour" I decided to bring it back a step and do some Acting animation. I did a character dialogue scene with two characters in it!

I added some eye blinking and lip synced their mouth following the audio!

For the audio, I used a clip from Spider-Man Home Coming. In the scene, Ned and Peter were talking about peter being Spider-Man.

Ned: what is it like being famous when nobody knows who you are?
Peter: Crazy dude!
Ned: It's crazy!
Ned: Should we tell everyone?
Peter: No.
Ned: Should I tell anyone?
Peter: No dude. That's not a good idea.

As for the acting part, I decided to record myself to use as reference for the character's movement when they're talking with each other

Character Game Intro Animation

For the final practice I went with the same thing as before and did a Dynamic animation but this time it's a Game Character Intro Scene!

It took me a quite a while to get the camera angles correct but the final outcome made it worth the time and effort.

As for the reference, I took it from one of the games I played before called "My Hero One's Justice 2" and went with one of their main characters named "All-Might"

Final Words

That is all of my animation practice that I had the time to do over the years during college. It was quite a challenge but I had fun with it and learned a bit more about some animation techniques used during animating. Thank you for going through my whole showcase until the end and Assalamualaikum!
