Jake (Real-time game character) - Graduation Project
"Jake" was made for the graduation project at FutureGames. The character was based on an existing 2D Concept called "Jake" by the artist "Deepfry".
My work process:
I started with sculpting the face and body in Zbrush. The clothes base was made in Marvelous Designer before I brought it into Zbrush. When sculpting, I used layers, allowing me to work with primary, secondary, and tertiary details.
Hard-edge meshes such as music case, robotic arm, and buckles were modeled in Maya.
I manually re-topologized and UV-unwrapped all assets in Maya for optimal results.
Baking and texturing were performed in Substance Painter.
Finally, the character was rigged and posed before rendering in Unreal Engine 5.
