I liked the warm feeling in this concept art. I wanted to recreate this scene exactly like the original to give viewers a sense of nostalgia.
Topology
I used Maya and ZBrush to create an even and clean topology, matching the style with the concept art. It required a lot of reference searches. Despite the challenge of lacking information on the background props, I’m pleased with the final result.
Rigging
I rigged and animated everything to make the movements look natural and seamless. I based the carousel's motion on how it moves in real life.
AOV
Diffuse Light - GI - Reflection - Refraction - Specular Light - Volumetric Fog - Dust
I used around 40-50 lights in Maya and composed in Nuke with Cryptomatte.
Texture Maps
Color Map - Metalness Map - Roughness Map
To match the concept art with my scene as closely as possible, I paid keen attention not only to modeling but also to texturing and lighting.
