DEMO REEL

CONTEMPLATE

The idea of this was to too create an artwork related to your artistic specialty or major and have this artwork of your creation be directly related to or inspired by Japanese art, in which I wanted to go with Japanese dry garden/ Zen gardens, as the main idea for making this.

For the most part, this project involved a trial-and-error process because I wasn't sure how to successfully execute the grain simulations. I knew I wasn't going to render out of Houdini but rather out of Cinema 4D, and I needed to find a way to import the grain particles. Luckily, after experimenting in Cinema 4D for a bit, using the Matrix Scatter with a Redshift tag did the trick.

KOTATSU ROOM

Flames Of Wrath

The goal for this project was to emphasize weight painting and Mixamo character rigging, modeling and texturing with a scene to held to support your character.

Fluidity

We were given a prompt to create a looping motion poster inspired by the work of a specific artist, to promote a gallery show for that same artist. I chose Japanese fine artist Shinichi Maruyama, who specializes in liquid-based pieces. This led me to use Houdini to generate a similar feel to his works.

CLOSED CASE

The idea for this project was to shoot a plate of a non-digital screen, then created an animated poster that starts static and then comes to life, with the main objective being to learn basic tracking in Nuke and fabricate assets for compositing.

ARM BEARER

In this project, we were tasked to shoot a composition with a digital screen displaying an absolute green image as the subject and then create an animation that starts inside the digital screen and creatively breaks the frame, seamlessly compositing both elements together.

For this project I took reference from the character of Gilgamesh from the fate series where, I planned on having a multitude of weapons break through the screen, treating it as an armory of some sort.

BULLSEYE

This project was mostly focused on learning 3D camera tracking, in which we get an already made plate footage and add a 3D object with animation into the scene. For this one I sourced the models from poly haven to ensure that I could spend time on integrating it into scene more.
