L56A3 Smartgun from Aliens
I remade the L56A3 Smartgun seen in Aliens: Fireteam Elite for a Staffordshire University module. It was an intense first go with Fusion 360, but it resulted in one of my best pieces of work.
Fanmade Aliens Gun: L56A3 Smartgun
I remade the L56A3 Smartgun seen in Aliens: Fireteam Elite. This was my first time using Fusion 360 to create something and I think it went very well. After adding extra details in ZBrush (including a quite extreme bend in the frame), I retopped in 3DS Max and textured in Substance Painter. I then imported the Smartgun into Unreal Engine 5 to get some nice renders. Despite difficulty creating this big, complicated gun (mostly problems caused by my inexperience with Fusion 360) I think the final asset is easily one of the best things I've ever made. Lots of lessons were learned and some lovely renders were made.
