Catch It
This is a mixed-media short animation that combines 2D and 3D elements, and it was created with my original story and character. The production process involves Maya for the 3D part, Storyboard Pro and Procreate for the 2D elements, UE5 for lighting and rendering and Premiere Pro for compositing.
The story is created based on a psychological theory - the 'social clock'. It uses the interaction between a toy rabbit and a light beam to project the situation when individuals deal with 'social expectation' and 'personal pursuit' in today's society.
Although I have a story setting with my idea, I take this piece as an experiment to see different interpretations from viewers with various life experiences think about the same story.
