Apocalypse Character - The Last of Us Inspired

A characters project inspired by The Last of Us.
This project was completed for a university module. We had 9 weeks to create a character that would fit into The Last of Us. I will be documenting my process below.
One of the most interesting things I have done at university was within the project - using scan data of myself for the model. We used laser scanners to create the data we would eventually be building the character upon. The raw scan data of the head can be seen below
Cleaning up the scan data by using polygroups and projection to get a smooth mesh, and then project the detail from the scan back onto it.

Our bodies were also scanned, the model was slightly more intricate to clean up, however the final model looks clean.
