Matte Painting portfolio

Hi! I'm Mireia Ferrer and I'm glad to show you my work. I'll start with a small summary of it and then I'll talk a bit about some of the projects shown. I hope you enjoy it!

The first project I showed was a class project where I tried to mix my passion for cars with my passion for art.

I tried to simulate a commercial of two emblematic cars such as are the Nissan R34 Skyline and the Porsche 911 GT rs. Both base videos are from Woyshnis Media on Youtube. Here are the final results of the commercials and the breakdowns of my job done.

Also, I wanted to show my ability to create environments from scratch like this work below, which was inspired on an Avatar scene.

This also was for a class project. My target was to create 5 matte paintings inspired in Anthem game but taking original shots from other movies and series and trying to recreate them. For example, the next matte was inspired by Love, death & robots.

Cyberpunk environments were such a challenge for me at first but after 2 previous tries I ended up doing this Matte Painting, I learnt a lot with this one, I added 3D cars, holograms, screens, and played a lot with colors to get this ambience of a dystopian futuristic city.

As you can see I love Science fiction but I also love fantasy. This project down below was a great challenge where I learnt lot of things like water moving with reflections.
