The Symphony of Urgency

The poster theme of ocean noise highlights a critical yet often overlooked issue affecting marine life and ecosystems, mainly due to ship propellers. Using the principle of similarity, I combined the imagery of ship propellers with a red alarm light to convey two key messages: alarms signify emergencies, showing ocean noise an urgent concern, and the red colour and sound help viewers understand the intensity of the noise. Vibrant red, the poster's primary colour, captures attention and evokes an emotional response, emphasizing the serious issues related to ocean noise. The red alarm light intuitively conveys urgency and adds visual depth. Many bubbles in the scene represent the underwater environment and propeller-generated bubbles, clarifying the impact of ocean noise on marine ecosystems and illustrating the intensity of the soundwaves. This poster aims to raise awareness and inspire action to protect marine ecosystems. By combining innovative design with a powerful theme, we can help ensure the health and sustainability of our oceans.
