Hi there! I’m Fannie, an aspiring 3D-visualizer with a background as a civil engineer. I am currently a student at the architectural visualization program at YRGO.
Hi!
I'm Fannie and this is some of my work during my first year as a archviz student at YRGO.Happy scrolling!
Overview
Here you can see a selection of images presented in this contest entry.
Urban Architecture.
This project was a collaboration with Miller Hare where we got to work with one of their previous projects, the King's Cross area. Materials provided from Miller Hare to use as a basis included various white 3d models of buildings and landscape among other things. As outlined below, the assignment was to create two Descriptive (Hero) views of the location/building, captured from the same vantage point, plus a detailed (Vignette) view.
"For the descriptive view the viewpoint should offer a comprehensive perspective of the location/building, capturing its essence and integration within its surroundings. The Detail View should focus on a specific aspect of the project, such as an innovative feature or a unique material used in the construction. This close-up shot should highlight the quality and thought put into the design details".
Given the size of the King's Cross area the class were divided into smaller groups where each group were assigned a specific area, such as residential, retail or the Granary square. I was assigned the residential area and I chose to focus on the Tapestry building.
Project length: 4 weeks
Software used: 3ds Max, Cororna render, Photoshop
Hero image with a late summer afternoon concept
Hero image with an overcast autumn day concept
Vignette image with a summer morning concept.
Process
Each student presented six different camera views for the "client" to choose fromFor the chosen Hero image each student was to present at least three different concepts for the "client" to choose from.
Boge Friggars house.
During a CAD & BIM course, we drew a house in Revit. As a small side project I decided to open the revit file in 3ds Max and give the house a nice outdoor environment.
Software: AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Vray render
Project length: 3 days
Matte Painting.
In this project the assignment was to visualize a 3D building in a realistic environment using matte painting technique.
The task was to come up with four different concepts using AI-software, where one was selected to continue working on after a vote. From the winning concept the AI-generated building had to be used as a base while the rest of the image was to be built using photos.
I was assigned to present a concept for a retreat in a mountain landscape. I imagined a hideaway cabin in a remote location where there is no digital connection, allowing you to fully and completely relax, contemplate and enjoy our wonderful nature.
Project length: 4 days
Software: Midjourney, Photoshop

Sketches
The Villa.
This project assignment was to model a villa, based on drawings and floorplans provided by Alingsås Huspaket. The mission was to create attractive and accurate images of the villa and place it somewhere in Scandinavia.
Some artristic freedom was given when it came to choice of light and materials. In this project we were introduced to some new tools - Forest pack and Rail Clone, to create a suitable 3D environment for the villa. We also got to use V-ray instead of Corona as a renderer.
Softeware: 3ds Max, Forest Pack, Rail Clone, Chaos scatter, V-ray Render, Photoshop
Modeled elements: The whole villa and the structure of the landscape/surrounding area

The Hotel.
The very first project working in teams. The assignment was to come up with a hotel concept based on a specific place in the world and make sure to capture its culture and climate. Every team were to deliver visualizations of three rooms/areas (one per person) that would give a good view of the hotel.
My team were assigned the Kalahari desert, Namibia and I were to visualize the pool/relaxation area of the hotel.
Software: 3ds Max, Corona render, Photoshop
Modeled elements: Plateau, floor, pool, water, fence

The Chair.
In this project the assignment was to find an existing chair to build and texture in 3D using only pictures as reference. I chose the Chieftain Chair by Finn Juhl.
Software: 3ds Max, Corona render, Photoshop
Modeled elements: Chair, studio environment
Property makeover.
The task was to to find a genuine real estate ad for a home in need of renovation and then to create visualizations by using only photos and floor plans from the ad to show the home's potential.
The aim was to furnish the home and select appropriate materials with the pre-existing architecture having the potential target group in mind.
Target group: The newly formed family
Software: 3ds Max, Corona render, Photoshop
Modeled objects: Kitchen cabinets, counters, countertop, backsplash, walls, windows
