Shallow Void
This is the experiment of combining patterns and prints. I outlined all the edges of my patterns just like Takashi's work, and I reversed the white outline with my print outline.
This project mainly discusses that contemporary people are too impetuous and do not calm down to deeply understand themselves and understand things. This kind of thinking makes everyone judge everything flatly and superficially. And I used this social phenomenon that only values the "price" of things but not the "value" to interpret the low-level emptiness in consumer culture in a super-flat style. Therefore, my print designs and patterns are related to ultra-flat and non-three-dimensional shapes.
When designing prints, I flatten the objects I first researched, abstract them, and then collage them together. Then integrate the 3D model made on nomad into it. This combination of 2D lines and 3D shapes runs through every step I take, thereby highlighting the inner importance through this combination.
According to the shape of the human body curve, we can obtain some lines that can be used for draping. The curve pattern extracted from the curve of the body is then converted into a clothing structure. Some of these are extracted from different lines as examples of customization. By combining body curves and 3D printing, these lines will change according to the shape of the body. The human body contour plane is two-dimensional, and the collage with printing can intuitively present a 3D effect. When I put the designed version in the clo, I added some prints to simulate the final garment effect. Because I wanted to highlight the ultra-flat and planar style, I also designed a vr glasses. These glasses can turn the originally 3D world into 2D.
For this project, I used 3D modeling software extensively and paid more attention to improving the design logic and ideas during the design process.
