Round of applause for our sponsors

Kaishya: Spark of the Sacred Flame is my most recent project. She is a fire sprite embodying an incense candle crafted by monks. This project was an exercise in adapting to an establish style and IP with an original design and story

"The Ishvara" are a trio of traveling characters based on Tibetan Buddhist and mythological icons.

Vajrapani

Vajrapani is a Tibetan Buddhist icon. Originating in Mahayana Buddhism, he is the Buddha's power manifest. He is often depicted as a wrathful deity in Tibetan Thangka paintings.
For The Ishvara Project, I've adapted Vajrapani's aesthetics found in Thangka paintings to a strong female character. She protects the pious leader by wielding a vajra attached to her staff.

Makara

Makara is a legendary sea-creature in Hindu mythology, appearing as the vahana(vehicle) of the gods Ganga and Varuna. Here, he is tamed by the leader of the Ishvara and acts as his mount.

Others

Additionally, here are a couple of designs I provided for some student game projects to which I had the privilege to contribute.

Thank You!

This submission marks the culmination of my experiences at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I am grateful to the professors and mentors who have guided and inspired me over the past three years. Their support, insight, and dedication to helping young artists grow have pushed me to explore new techniques and refine my skills.

This past year, in particular, has been transformative. Through rigorous coursework and collaborative projects, I have made significant strides towards becoming the artist I aspire to be. However, I recognize that my journey is far from complete. The industry is ever-evolving, and there is always more to learn. Especially now, as the industry is ravaged by corporate greed and challenged by technological changes, artists like me need to continually learn and adapt to survive and thrive. There are more skills to master, and more stories to tell. I am eager to seek out new challenges and constantly push the boundaries of my creativity.

As I prepare for the next chapter of my artistic career, I appreciate the foundation I have built at SCAD and remain optimistic about the future. I am excited to contribute to the art community, share my vision, and continue growing as an artist.

Thanks!
