"The Firefighter" was focused on more severe and aggressive flames around the firefighters.

I added burnt marks on the wardrobe and some oil and its stain on the floor by projection on modelling in Nuke. The fire source was inserted by using both card projection and UVs. At the end of the work I tried to deliver some nice Haze effects with the use of Glow and Distort node in Nuke.

This was my first-ever work while I was preparing my portfolio. At that time, I was not used to 'Mocha Pro' which helped me a lot for rotopainting in other works. So I dedicated my whole weeks for rotopaint those firefighters one by one by myself in Nuke. I felt almost suffocated but now I can say it was such fun memory as my first work. And it gave me a lot of know-hows for using a variety of nodes.

The footage was from a Korean film, "Call". One of the main female roles, "Young-Sook" was described as a psycopathic killer. So I would like to grant her more wicked and cruel look and the environment around her, something like her own dark lair.

It was my first time to use 'Phoenix' from 'Maya' in order to display the blood simulation coming from both sides. It took about one month for me to get this simulation. Every each option led me to the different results but none of them could satisfy me. It took me forever to get the result but made me interested in Fx at the end.

Additionally I used 'Mesh Track' from 'Mocha Pro' to express bloods on Young Sook and card projection for blood on wall and floor.

"Underwater" was based on the footage which includes Wire works and weird(?) background staffs. After I removed them, I overlayed the 3D objects by render pass. To create the underwater environment, the fog was necessary, expressed by Depth Map made by Depth Scanner in After Effects. Godrays and Volumeray helped to get the lights from the top of the water in Nuke and I added dust which looks floating and flowing as the camera goes closer to the hanging man.

When I worked on "The Sculptor", I granted some story to it, an old man sculpting a female sculpture, reminiscing his old lover.

When I planned to change the sculpture from the original footage, I was actually frustrated. Since I never leant about Zbrush, I should have asked some help from one of my Zbrush master peers. After I gained some nice clay-suitable brushes, I spent few days to practise from some basic works to sculpting a female sculpture, my target reference, 50s-60s female actresses.

I made an effort to extract "the Sniper" from the greenscreen, even fluff from his hairline. The Tattoos were overlayed using Smart vector and Mesh Track. After I put Muzzle Flash, I painted the GI from the light in Nuke.
