Rookie Awards 2024 Entry(Life in an Abandoned House )
Inspired by the artistry of Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us," I embarked on the creation of a setting rooted in the UK, named Potter Manor. My aim was to craft my rendition of "The Last of Us" set in the UK.At the heart of this endeavor lies a singular focus: crafting verisimilar vegetation.
Inspired by the artistry of Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us," I embarked on the creation of a setting rooted in the UK, named Potter Manor. My aim was to craft my rendition of "The Last of Us" set in the UK. Central to this endeavor was my focus on meticulously crafting believable vegetation, aiming to illustrate the tenacity of life in abandoned areas. It is for this reason that I chose to title my project "Life in an Abandoned House."
For this project, I utilized software tools like Maya, Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Marmoset Toolbag, Unreal Engine, Photoshop, DaVinci Resolve, and Premiere Pro. These tools enabled me to create the set props and modular kit entirely by myself.
