Robin Beltran | Concept Art | 2024

HI,

I'll show you here some of my designs from three projects and periods: 1. HUBRIS my graduation film, 2. my internship at SIXMOREVODKA and 3. FALLING IN LOVE, another short I made at school. I enjoyed drawing all of it, and hope you will too!

I - HUBRIS

An intergalactic cargo pilot answers a call for help from a shipwrecked archaeologist. Faced with a priceless treasure, both men turn out to be monstrously proud and greedy.

Hubris is my graduation film, co-directed with Julien Coetto, Lucas Cros, Benjamin Guigues, Gabriel Sanayeh and Loïc Strittmatter.

My team modeled the characters and assets, and I was able to help them with feedback and drawovers, filling the gap of interpretation between 2D sketches and 3D details. I made a lot of things to help crafting the film, it was intense and passionating!

II - SMV

This is a mix of characters and thumbnails I was given as assignments during my internship at SIXMOREVODKA + personal work from the same period. I learned a lot and loved that time in Berlin!

III - FALLING IN LOVE

COMFORTABLY SETTLED ABOVE THE CLOUDS, AN INDEPENDANT PRINCESS SENDS BACK EVERY CHARMING PRINCE THAT WOULD BOTHER HER READING.

Falling in Love is another film I made at school, co-directed with Loreline Clément, Amélie Devauchelle, Florian Gomes-Freitas, Benjamin Guigues and Mariam Ulmasova.

I loved working on this classic but non classic tale of the prince and princess. We built the film and the environment on two different worlds: above the clouds sea: a marvelous, luminous, pink and yellow land, and below the clouds sea: a cold, hostile, blue and dark land. We experience the transition between these two domains by following the rise of the prince.
